There'll be work parties both days this weekend at Walker. We can use the help with the trail system - so we don't end up losing it.

I was planning on heading down there Saturday morning.

What's the plan for the cleanup? When does it start and what work will be done?

I'm going to be trailering my Jeep down (unbalanced 36" TSLs are no fun on US highways :D ) - will there be room in the parking lot for me? It's crowded enough there on a regular weekend.

Hmm Let me think about that.

Drive the Jeep:
- Bikini top is great if it's not pouring rain.
- Freeway speeds + no OD gear = thirsty, noisy Jeep
- Unbalanced TSLs will have my teeth rattling by the time I arrive.
- No stereo
- Hard to hold a conversation at freeway speeds
- Avoid the trailer queen comments

Trailer the Jeep
- Cruise control, A/C, a stereo, heated seats
- Allows me to beat the crap out of the Jeep and haul the pieces home.
- Trailer queen comments go away once they start breaking stuff. Then I become mister popularity
- Takes less time to load and unload the Jeep than it does to air up/down.

Not much of a decision is it? :D

18' deck 10,000GVW. It was (just) big enough for Rob Bryce's beast).

If you can hear your music at freeway speeds you either have wimpy tires or more money in stereo equipment than I have in tires :******* :laugh :D

There should be room. Plan is meet at the main parking area at 8:00am.

There is a new trail being built (actually, a motorcycle trail being converted to our use,) so that lower Jeep access can be closed down. The bootlegging on that trail is threatening closure of the park.

I can only get a Jeep and half on the trailer. Looking forward to seeing your trxus tires in action. Haven't seen them up clsoe yet.

i have only wheeled them twice once at the bc hammers and once in hope. i am pretty happy with them so far. they flex really well on the rocks. i think bbp has a pic of them wrapping around a rock.

Meeting time and place!!

FYI for anyone interested in heading down to Walker on Saturday.

We'll be meeting at the gas station on the corner of 8th Ave and 176 St (just before the truck crossing) . Meeting time is approx 8:30am. That should put us in the parking lot for Walker at around 10-10:30am.

All vehicles welcome but if you're driving something stockish (31" or smaller tires - no lift) expect some body damage.

If you're trying to meet up with us and you're going to be late call me on my cell. 604-961-1392.

Great time on Sat guys (and gal)! Now that my junk is back together, I'd like to get down there again in a month or so.

Piloting Cornjeepers rig was a blast!

Cheers

It was a good run. Nice group to wheel with and fun trails.

I'm still kinda weirded out by the whole car wash incident though. :******* :*******

Did they turn you back at the border because you were trying to import agricultural products into the country (read: too much mud on your rigs?)

The trip back through the border was uneventful but crossing the border on the way down was entertaining. Watching an older, rather large security gaurd climb up on the trailer and then into the back of the Jeep to rummage around in my gear box was fun to watch. Have to give him credit though - he didn't fall off :D
