so now it's time for 5 point harnesses!

hehehe

just wondering if anyone here is running them or if anyone knows where to get them for cheap?
Most I've talked to said they were a pain in the ass...
but i don't wear my seatbelt now (i know...not cool) so how much worse could these be?
i think they'll make me feel cool!

heh
not planning on even mounting the crotch strap.

Prices I've gotten over here on the island are around $145 per side.
I found some 2" RJS harnesses at rosser jeep for $46.95US on the net...
any downsides to 2"?
why are they so much less than the 3"?

thanks
RJ

I used to work at Frontier Helicopters and they used to throw away so many 5pts it made my head spin. If you know any of the mechanics at a helicopter shop then they'll surely be able to score you a couple for pretty dirt cheap. Just as long as the company doesn't find out. Its to do with the whole 're-sale of aircraft parts that are not air-worthy' which is understandable...

I say "DO IT!" They are sweet. Especially with racing buckets. That's what I want.
But I think that I remember reading that too. Isn't going to stop me.
If you find some, I'd like to get in on that too.

well arnold...
I haven't decided yet
I've been asking around to the jeeps that have them over here on the island and they all have them mounted above their heads to the roll bar
I've been told that this is completely wrong and they need to be mounted a foot below the shoulder...
that's exactly where the rollbar padding stops...So welding a bar across and painting it shouldn't cost more than $50 ('$40 and a pack of blue' to be specific)

If i do decide to go up to the existing rollbar I will drill holes in it and have the belts mounted properly. One jeep over here just has them slung over and sized over the bar. I guess it would work but I will need a little more assurance than that.

If i decide to get the bar welded in i don't know how exactly the belts will sit when there isn't anyone in the jeep cuz the seats have no shoulder or tunnels to rest the belts on.
anyone have any ideas?
