Just need a quick answer, 87 XJ, 5spd., D44 rear, D30 upfront. Going to 33's in the summer, but going to get the gears first, 4.10's or 4.56's. Mostly on street driving, other than the odd offroad trip and also camping trips, plus i could be towing a small trailer at times, what gears?
Thanks
Jordan

4.56 would match you stock ratio the closest.

go 4.10s. there is not need to go as low as 4.56es for a daily driver. i have the same motor and 35s w/4.10s and i have no trouble with my gearing. not to mention that your highway driving would be sick (3,000 rpm @ 110km in 5th)....too bad on the gas prices!!!!
