well it happened

i went to whipsaw last weekend and i took a wrong turn and ended up in the tip of wells lake and flooded my entire truck :(

was able to pull it out and start drying it out but had to leave it up there this week as my group was leaving and no one had the power to pull me out of the trail

went up there this weekend will all new ignition parts and replaced those and still doesnt fire up

it fired on 2 cylinders and wont get the rest to fire up

checked the distibutor and rotor and found water and dirt under the cap
cleaned that all out and it fired up but then died. theres tons of spark, no water in the cylinders, and theresw tons of feul

im thinking that it my be the propane vaporized. im thinking the when it went under, it sucked in watyer and when it dried out over the week it seized it up

im gonna try and get up there this weekend with a new battery, vaporizer rebuilt kit and a new rotor to see if that will make it run

a friend told me that he read a post on here about people going up there this weekend and was wondering if anyone had extra room for me and a friend to go up there and get it going

im willing to throw money in for gas and time if anyone would be kind enough to help me out

if anyone does just reply of call me at 604 2025437 or 604 7631243

thanks a ton!

I highly suggest you take the time off work and go in there TOMORROW and get it out. Whatever it takes. It will likely just be trash by next weekend. The alternative will be more expensive when its reported and removed for you.

As I recall, just about everyone in your group had day permits on their vehicles...

i would totally take the time off work and gety up there and get it going but
1) no one else who has truck can take time off work and go up wioth me
2) i still havent gathered the parts that i need to fix it

thats why i made this post to see if anyone else is going up there to help me get it out

i dont want it to get trashed, cause that would suck.....big time

To be on the safe side, I'd edit exactly where your truck is, just on the off chance that someone of low morals who reads this doesn't head up there.

Hope ya get it running and out in one piece!

I think what Wes is talking about is the fact that now a whole tonne of people know exactly where your broken truck is, and also that you won't be up there until next weekend.

Get it out of their with another vehicle, or a tow truck if you can. Don't leave it there and wait to see if you can fix it.

I'd definitely pull it out if you can't get it started. The first time I drove there (when I lived in Princeton), we pulled a CJ5 from Wells down to Coalmont.

If nothing else, you should pull it to Lodestone and from there it could be retrieved by a tow truck or flat deck trailer. And Wes is right, the sooner the better.

(BTW, how do you take a wrong turn and drive into Wells Lake?? Just curious, 'cuz I can't imagine where exactly you were.)

For what its worth, the boys from Crawlin'BC are planning a run this coming weekend. There'll be plenty of power to pull you out then, but I don't know if its a good plan to wait. Can't hurt to ask them, they're a prim and proper bunch of young lads.:*******

yeah i signed up on the board but there are no post what so ever?
maybe its because im new and cant read them? not to sure

ne who, i bought most of the parts i need today ( new propane vaporizer, and rotor) now i just gotta get a battery and hopefully that will fix the problem

im also gonna bring a compression tester and a leak down testor if none or those get it started, but it would be ****ty to find out i bend a rod or blew some rings :(
even tho i dont think that happened because i shut the motor off right before i hit the water
