Windshield Cracked

941 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Heavy Chevy
Hey Well... I fixed my truck got mildly stuck and while having another vehicle attempt to pull me out with a chain the tow hook broke off off the other vehicle hitting the tail gate of my truck then clipping the back of the cab and eventually smashing into my front windshield and putting some large dent's in the roof by the window that might come to a leak... However I was wondering if ICBC will cover this as it "was hit by a flying/falling object". And if they will fix my roof also or is it possible for them to fix my window and me to pay the difference of having my roof fixed as I don't think it will seal properly!

Thanks for the help in advance!

Not sure if they'll cover it or not.

But they did fix my hood for me when I threw a fan blade at 6000RPM. Blade went clean thru..

My buddy had the same thing happen. ICBC covered the windshield, but not the back window or the roof. This was a while ago though, they may do it differently now.

I'd tell you about my truck but you probably wouldn't believe me.
Say something flew off the back off some dump truck or big rig and hit your windsheild and your roof. I'm sure they wont ask too many questions. Say that you were turning and it was raining and you couldn't see the liscence plate and were in a hurry and had to turn off and stop because it scared you too much. Just my .02$ That's only because I hate ICBC but I dont mind that they forgot I had a 75% surcharge increase last time I renewed!!!!!
My mom had this happen to her when a light fell off a truck and broke her side mirror off. ICBC covered the whle thing.
