This engine is from a 1989 YJ. I just changed the valve cover and Oil pan gaskets with the expensive gaskets (100. bucks!) . 50 miles or so on the engine since I did them.
Rear main seal needs replacing. I have an engine lift here until it is sold.

Carter carburetor from this engine and it works!

Stock front axle 3:05

Fly wheel from a standard tranny and 4.2

Rear bench seat in reasonable shape.

All of these parts are out and ready to go.

Make me an offer. Not too sure what they are worth.

Hi Chad

The information I have on this engine is that is supposed to have less than 70,000K on it when it was bought from Jeep Thrills a couple of years ago.
It has not been on the road running except for around a tank of gas. It is running very smooth except for the leaking rear main seal.

I would like $200 for it obo

Thanks

George

It is very hard to do a compression test when the engine is out I found out.
DSC_0259..jpg Here is the Aircare info from when it was tested in Nov 2010.

Driving test
Hydrocarbons 15.ppm Max is 164.ppm
Carbon Monoxide 0.00 Max is .88
Oxides of Nitrogen 691. Max is 1367

Idle test

Hydrocarbons 8 Max is 191
Carbon Monoxide .02 Max is 1.34

Passed.

Rear seat, used and a bit dirty but lots of life left in it. $30.00
Center console (no Lock) $20.00
Stock Carb. Dirty but works well $30.00
Flywheel from a 4.2 standard tranny. $20.00

Engine is a 1989 Cherokee 4.2 Ran well and quiet but rear main leaks $200.00 (I am going to keep it now and tweek it and put it back into the Jeep)

All other parts including the axle are OBO

Thanks
