stave no man's land

had to take a day off work to get it out.

some of the help

almost there!, sorta....

the f***in' mistaken path

Why would anyone want to go get stuck at Stave lake? By all the pics I've seen...it's easy to get stuck up there! I don't get the attraction.....you're stuck for hours and hours, meanwhile you could have been wheeling somewhere decent having some real fun. Mud sucks! I try to avoid it as much as possible.

haha thanks -- I was around 2-3psi, but I have Staun inner beadlocks. The guys w/o beadlocks I think were in the 5-8psi range. I think Wes was running his around 5psi.

3 opinions I'd like to put up here.

(1) Please stay the fuck off off the Stave mud flats, it's called "mud flats" for a reason, MUD. Unless you own a low ground pressure vehicle such as a snow cat or a hover craft, you will get stuck.

(2) Stave Lake will soon be a drinking water reservoir, so all the oils, grease, gasoline, diesel and other "shit" that leaks from these vehicles will indeed end up in the drinking water from the people in the Abbotsford area, and given the fact that contaminated drinking water has long term and short term consequences, we don't need any more crap in the future from idiots and retards who just want to look "cool" with all that mud on their vehicles. I am all for off roading, but only on trails, not in some one's back yard where their source of water is.

(3) Use a rubber car tire in between 2 chains or recovery straps when pulling someone out of a stuck situation, the rubber tire has some stretch to it, and if it is put in the middle, the added weight of the tire will slow down the snapping chain and direct it's fall to the ground faster. I've seen many tow truck recoveries use this method, and even some smarter operators will place their own rubber rain gear on the cable to put some weight on it in the event it snaps.

Sounds like you've been drinking a little too much stave water buddy
