just bought a new .338 rem ultra mag
Yup, Tom Beringer style. No rules or line-ups. Only 300 yards? I'm trying to stretch it out a little further than that. I shoot at stationary clays at 250 yards with just a .22. Bearing in mind that they're dropping at the target from above at that range. How do you Figure? Its only a .308 and I can assume you have shot Missions 300m and are print clovers or perhaps you are a comp shooter and use Volks so you can do some Ma Bell shooting ?( I have shot at both and others)
Unless you have an Unapproved round such as TMax I really cant see how you could have exhausted your target shooting options down here.
Of course if you want to pretend you are Tom Beringer and play sniper then by all means find some bush and play games and have fun but dont try to say that you dont shoot at ranges because they are too short LOL!
holly crap. you can shoot clays with a 22 and bushnell scope at 250 yards.Yup, Tom Beringer style. No rules or line-ups. Only 300 yards? I'm trying to stretch it out a little further than that. Even though the mags are legal, hunting with ten rounds is notI just got this rifle. It isn't available in the US, but we can get them in Canada. It is called the Tavor, and is the new CQB issued rifle for the Israeli army.
Up here, however, it is a non restricted, ten shot 'hunting/target' rifle.
It takes AR mags, so the LAR-15 pistol mags hold ten legally. It comes with two 5/30 mags, ( pinned to five)
Awesome to hold, and excellent sight control.
They even indulged my choice of serial number ;o)
No hating now.
Ruger 10/22 target model. Like I said, it ain't a straight shot at 250 yards, I'm aiming like at least 3 feet above the target at that range.holly crap. you can shoot clays with a 22 and bushnell scope at 250 yards.
i need way more practice.

Fair enough . One plus with shooting on Crown is that you can bring some reactive targets like full cans of soda or plastic jugs of water . as long as you bring them out its all good clean fun.
The biggest problem i found with shooting long ranges in the woods is haveing to travel over the debris to check the targets. Once you start to get up toward merrit or around 100mile things get open and it is alot easier for this kind of shooting (also less people) .

I can see that. Once you start pegging off the bullseye repeatedly, you need to increase the distance or else it gets boring. If you want to make it more interesting without having to travel far, just remove the scope and use open sites.Yup, Tom Beringer style. No rules or line-ups. Only 300 yards?
