can stock axels handle 32 inch tires? i only have the 4 cyl engine, so it not like there'a a hell of a lot of torque going to the wheels. also i don't have any lockers or anything. but in the future i would like to add a softlocker.it's a 91 yj.

My 95 XJ with Chrysler 8 1/4" rear and Dana 30 front handles 33x12.50's just fine.

I've seen a 4-cyl YJs snap axles running 35" tires. They're not immune to it.

Having said that, if you drive cautiously, you can probably get away with it. But no matter what, your risk of axle breakage is going to increase with larger tires.
