I'm considering an exploder 8.8 for my cherokee and have a line on one with drum brakes, but I'd really like discs. Are all the 8.8 housings the same and you can just buy caliper brackets, etc to convert them?

The housing for the drum and disc brakes will interchange. I had a '91 Explorer that I put '01 Explorer discs onto and it worked very well.
